On the Ummah

The Ummah collection began as a simple idea: one people, many nations. A garment for each, its name and emblem worn without apology. Afghanistan beside Bosnia beside Canada, a map you can wear.
Belonging in Islam was never meant to stop at a border. The brother in Jakarta and the sister in Toronto are part of the same body, and when one part aches, the rest of it feels it. That is not a slogan, it is a description of how it is supposed to work.
To wear your nation on your chest is not nationalism. It is a way of saying: I come from somewhere, and I belong to something larger than where I come from. Solidarity carried with dignity, never shouted. One Ummah, many nations, worn as one.
